Mathieu Debuchy, a French international who plays for Newcastle could be signing for Arsenal after Arsene Wenger has offered £8 million.

After losing Bacary Sagna to Manchester City, Arsenal have hoped they would find a replacement in Mathieu Debuchy after they have made an £8 million bid on him.

Coincidently, Debuchy recently doubted his future at Newcastle after he said that he missed playing regular Champions League football.

The French right back had played 233 games for Lille before joining Newcastle in 2013 and since then has earned 46 caps for Newcastle United.

Debuchy has stated that he has enjoyed the “ English charm” that he has discovered whilst at Newcastle but also states that no decision on his future will be made until the World Cup is over.

Debuchy will hope to play for France’s next game which is against Nigeria on Monday. If France manage to win, they will qualify for the Quarter Finals.
