Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp goes even further and has described the German DFB Pokal Final contest against rivals Bayern Munich , as ‘bigger than the Champions League final’ the two sides contested last year. Still, Klopp hopes to win this one , but his key dilema is to send Robert Lewandowski from the start or not ? The reason is simple, Lewandowski from the summer will join Guardiola’s side, and Klopp did the same in the Bundesliga game against Bayern which Dortmund won in Munich 3-0.

Asked about his determination for this game, Lewandowski said Sport Bild this week : “At the moment, I’m not interested in my new employers at all … I want a crowning glory, preferably with a cup in hand.”

It was Poland international back in 2012 in Pokal final who sinked Bavarians with a hat-trick in a 5-2 win over Bayern for the Cup trophy. All this probably are only the mind games ahead of this match, and Klopp likely would start with Lewandowski – Reus duo which carried Dortmund side trough this season. Regarding the strikers, on the side, Guardiola announced that Bayern Munich first striker, Mario Mandzukic is not on the 18-man list for this game, and according to BBC football gossips , his next destination is London and Jose Murinho’s Chelsea FC, where he will be paired up with Atletico Madrid’s Deigo Costa from the summer as Mourinho is not happy with his current striking force.

Klopp ready for ‘biggest final’

Borussia Dortmund finished this season on the second with Bayern claiming the title only after 27 rounds, so to take a trophy from their rivals would be a nice way to finish the season. Ahead of this season, Dortmund defeated Bayern in the Super Cup and they are going with confident into this match , having lost just one of their last 12 games in all competitions. Regarding their mutual encounters, Klopp’s side have won two of their three last games against Bayern.

On the other side, Guardiola’s side since they won the league title, have won only 6 of their last 12 games, and they were eliminated to Real Madrid in Champions league. Still, the motive is high, as the Bavarians will aim to claim their second straight double but for that they can’t count on Thiago Alcantara (knee), while while Bastian Schweinsteiger is a doubt due to same reason. Klopp can’t count on the injured trio, Subotić, Gundogan and Blaszczykovski.

Match Prediction : With World Cup starting soon, this is the last game this season for both clubs, which either of them would eager to win. Bayern  have more quality to do so, and Guardiola’s men want a revenge for the home 3-0 defeat to Dortmund. We predict Bayern to secure double and lift the trophy once more .

Team Probable lineups

Borussia Dortmund : Weidenfeller – Piszczek, Hummels, Sokratis, Schmelzer – Sahin, Jojić – Mkhitaryan, Reus, Groskreutz – Lewandowski

Bayern Munich : Neuer – Rafinha, Boateng, Dante, Alaba – Lahm, Javi Martinez – Robben, M.Gotze, T.Muller – Pizzaro ?
