Chelsea have reportedly agreed to pay £30million for Shakhtar Donetsk’s striker Alex Teixeira. 

The Blues are in search of a new striker to overcome their misery in front of goals. Diego Costa, Remy and Falcao have failed to score goals for the clubs. Chelsea are 15th in the Premier League table and face a hard task to finish in the top four.

New manager Guus Hiddink is ready to make Alex Teixeira his first signing when the January transfer window opens. According to few sources the striker has already verbally agreed to open to Stamford Bridge next month.

Alex Teixeira is expected to sign a five year deal and is happy to sign for the current Premier League champions. Shakhtar Donetsk exit from the Champions League lead the club to sell the striker to the England champions.

The striker has impressed this season, scored 26 goals in 26 appearances for the Ukrainian side.

Big European clubs including Paris Saint Germain, Juventus and Manchester Untied were tracing to sign the striker in the January transfer window but Chelsea have now snatched the deal to sign Alex Teixeira.

Guus Hiddink will have options in front of goals especially when Chelsea sign Alex Teixeira. Chelsea are still in Champions League and face PSG in the round of 16. The FA cup starts next month and Hiddink will love to win the FA cup which he won with the Blues in 2009 season.
