The 24 years old mid-fielder has signed a new deal at Tottenham until 2020, insisting Spurs have a bright future ahead.
The Denmark international has committed his future with the London club and is already eyeing glory in this season. Christian Eriksen who is an important player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side which came close to compete with Leicester City last season for the English Premier League title.
Christian Eriksen previous deal expires next season but signing a new deal with Spurs commit the mid-fielder to stay in London until 2020.
Erisksen who showed his happiness on his official twitter account, saying “Thrilled to commit my future to this amazing club!”.
The player is excited to be part of the Spurs squad under Pochettino and expressed his excitement in the interview and stated he sees the club going in the right direction and soon end up with a trophy.
Last season Erisken scored 6 goals in 35 games and made 13 assists for Spurs.
Christian Eriksen in a video on his twitter account said, “”There is a great future at this place and I wouldn’t have signed if I didn’t see that.
“It’s a very good group, players who connect with each other, staff who connect with the players.
“We all have an idea of where we want to end, and hopefully we’ll achieve that.
“It’s always been the plan to sign a new deal and now it’s happened I’m relieved and very happy.”
