World football’s governing body FIFA have given the Catalan giant, FC Barcelona a transfer ban for next two transfer periods due to breaching international transfer rules of under-18 players. Question is, are transfers of Marc-Andrea ter Stegen and the Croat, Alen Halilovic legit or they will be canceled.

Just a few hours after Champions league semi-finals first leg match drawing 1-1 with Atletico Madrid , Barcelona was shocked with some pretty bad news. Namely, the Catalan club are unable to purchase players for the next two transfer windows, FIFA announced.

FIFA has also sanctioned the Spanish Football Federation with a fine of 500,000 Swiss Francs (£340,000) and told to “regularise [its] regulatory framework and existing system concerning the international transfer of minors in football” within a year.

As for the latest Barcelona captures, the first information’s suggest that the transfers of Marc-Andre Ter-Stegen and Alen Halilovic have already been made before this fine, and will go through as planned .

Barcelona had a play to strengthen first team with some players, but now all their plans fall out, and Barca will have to focus on their second team to bring fresh faces, and persuade Pinto who is out of contract at the end of the season to sign a new deal, while Rafinha and Gerard Deulofeu who are on a loan currently will become a part of the first team.
