Colombia with a 4-1 win over Japan sealed maximum nine points in Group C and booked a last-16 clash with Uruguay who thanks to Diego Godin’s header sealed a 1-0 win over Italy.

Cuardado opened the scoring list in the 17th minute, while S. Okazaki in the last minute of the first half time levels the score. Still the South American side netted three more in the second half. First Jackson Martinez netted his double in 55′ and 82′ while James Rodríguez in the 89th minute scored for the final 4-1.

Five minutes before the end having the 3-1 lead, the 43-year-old goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon replaced Ospina and thus become the oldest player in World Cup history. Mondragon is retiring after the tournament in Brazil.
