England manager admits that their captain Steven Gerrard got no injury ploblems despite leaving the training earlier on monday.

Gerrard left the training session after doing a couple of light jogs apart from the team, making doubtful his presence against Italy at the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.

“There is nothing wrong with Steven Gerrard,” told Hodgson to the reporters.

“I don’t really understand [claims Gerrard is unfit].”

“My understanding is yesterday he did some extra work. There is absolutely nothing wrong with him.”

Gerrard made his debut with England in May 2000. He’s been appointed as the captain since Roy Hodgson arrived.

England will play vs Italy at Amazônia Arena on Sunday , June 15.
