Match Highlights & Full Match – Available after the game end

After getting knocked up by Barcelona from the Champions league, and before that from the FA Cup by Wigan Athletic, Manuel Pellegrini’s men return to Premier League action at Hull City in urgent need of the win and three points to maintain their title hunt on course.

With only the Premier League on the table, Manchester City was a team that was boldly chasing four trophies, just a week ago. Now scenario has changed, and the Citizens turn the focus to Premier league, with a very little space for error, considering that the first placed team, Chelsea FC are nine points ahead of them, but the Citizens do have three games less than Mourinho’s men.

A key problem for the most goal scoring team in Premier league is a hamstring injury of Sergio Aguero who probably will miss this game, but his fellow countryman Martin Demichelis is ready to play.

“Up to last weekend, we were the only team chasing four trophies, which is not easy to do,” said assistant manager Ruben Cousillas to reporters.

“We are out of two, but have won the Capital One Cup and are still very much alive in the Premier League. The team is recovering and have been through some low times, but we are alive and we will fight for the title.”

As for the home side, Steve Bruce’s men last weekend manage to sweep Sunderland from the FA Cup with a home 3-0 win. A result which certainly will boost team morale ahead of game with Man City. Before that, Hull City suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat by Newcastle United. Still, the Tigers occupies currently the 13th place, having 5 points ahead of teams from relegation zone.

In the first game at the Etihad stadium, last year in Autumn , Citizens won 2-0, but the season before that Hull City has beaten Citizens at home, while in Manchester they managed to pull a draw.
