Pep Guardiola was presented as the new coach of the English side, Manchester City. English club ahead of Etihad did an amazing promotion of the Catalan strategist, and presented the new jerseys for next season, as well their new players, Ilkay Gundogan and Nolito.

“Thanks to Manchester City for this opportunity. I believe that we all will enjoy together and I look forward to victories. I proved myself in Barcelona and Bayern and I’m sure the fans will be proud of the way we play against all,” said Guardiola.

One of the best coaches in the world discovered a part of the plan in his new team.

“I want to create a team spirit. We want something special, and only after that we will think about tactics and everything else. I know all the players and their qualities. I do not want that fans think about the past and the successes, but for all of us to turn to the future and new challenges.”

The Catalan has signed a three-year contract with the English club, where he succeeded Manuel Pellegrini, who from the 2013, won the Premier league title, two League Cups and has led the team in the semi-finals of the Champions League, where the Citizens were knocked out by Real Madrid.

For the official Man City site, Guardiola said:

“I know how hard the Premier League is and some people have said that I will find it hard to play the football I like to play in England so I said to myself ‘Why not?’ That’s why I’m here – because I want to try.

“We have to find a way to win and if we win one game, the next week we will say ‘OK, let’s try and do the same things this week’ – and if we win again, we’ll say, ‘let’s do the things that won us those two games’ and so on.
