Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says his side’s Premier League match against Liverpool will be “special” for Raheem Sterling and James Milner.

“I always think it is special for a player to play against…not only for Raheem (Sterling), to play against a team in which he played before, for a lot of years. Maybe for James Milner it will be exactly the same. These situations are part of the career of the player and now they’re defending another shirt.”

” For the moment I think we are having a good season. We are the only English team that has qualified already for the next stage of the Champions League, we are the only team that’s been in the Champions League, we also qualified for the Capital One Cup, we are at top of the table in the Premier League. It’s important to try to continue with all this.”

“Sergio (Aguero) is fit and ready to come back. David (Silva) still has a small pain in his ankle so I think it’s risky for him to play. Unfortunately, Samir Nasri and (Wilfried) Bony are injured.”

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp faced the media ahead of the away trip to English Premier League leaders Manchester City

Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager (on the news that all Premier League clubs will play La Marseillaise before this weekend’s matches following the Paris terrorist attacks):
“It’s…. a good thing to give a sign again, and it’s really difficult times, I have to say. Of course it’s not, it’s of course not only, in football, but (it’s the) first time we are in the middle of the chaos and, yeah, so very good sign and of course, we will be part of this.”

Jurgen Klopp (asked about the fitness of Daniel Sturridge):
“Yeah, he is…. he’s as fit as he can be after this long break. He Trained with us, of course he is not at 100% and now we have to see. I don’t know what I’ll do tomorrow, I don’t know what I’ll do…. when I build a squad or something like this, yeah, I have to think about it. His quality, is outstanding, we don’t have to talk about this, but, how everybody needs training, and I think today it was the third, full exercise with the team, after…. four-and-a-half, five weeks.”

Jurgen Klopp (on Saturday’s opponents Manchester City and how their season has started):
“Not bad. They’re, top, yeah. Good team, good players.”
Q: “Are they the best team in the Premier League?”
“I don’t care about this. Not interested who is the best team in the league, as long as we are the best team in the league, so I don’t think about this. Yeah, but they’re pretty good. Very experienced, very, very experienced, and…. but the difference between Man City and Liverpool is that in this moment we know nothing about Man City, because they, their training ground seems to be deep in a forest, I have never been there. So, nothing!”
