Although everyone expected for Moyes to stay at least until the end of the season, it looks that Manchester United did not have the patience for David Moyes. Chief executive Ed Woodward arrived announced the news to the Scot, and the club on the club’s official Twitter stated : ‘BREAKING: Manchester United announces that David Moyes has left the club. The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.’

In ten months under the guidance of David Moyes, United lost six league matches at home, United was knocked from the FA Cup by Swansea, while the same fate happen to Red Devils in the Capital One Cup where they were eliminated by Sunderland.

As coach of Manchester United, David Moyes has led 51 game, enrolling 27 wins, nine draws and 15 defeats. The greatest victory it was against Bayer Leverkusen (5-0), and the biggest defeat against City (4-1) . United sit currently on seventh place, while in Champions League, United was knocked in the quarterfinals by Bayern.

Along with Moyes, coaches Coaches Steve Round and Jimmy Lumsden were sacked also, while Phil Neville has kept his job within the club’s backroom staff. There are already a lot of rumours about the next manager of Manchester United, but for now Ryan Giggs will take temporary charge for the rest of the season as interim manager.

It should also be noted that the Red Devils next season will be without the Champions League, what last happened back in 1995th year, and it seems that Man United will be out the Europa league competition next season.
