Mark Hughes, Stoke City manager (Q: What is the situation with Marc Wilson’s injury?)
“Mark Wilson is unavailable, we seem to think that it’s not a cruciate ligament thankfully, but obviously he’s done damage to the medial ligament, so he is going to be out for 10 to 12 weeks. So it is a significant injury.”
Q: A season-ending one?
“Near, but hopefully he will get back. It’s one that you have to manage correctly, which we always do, but it should be straight forward in terms of recovery and it’s not obviously a cruciate ligament injury, which we certainly feared when it initially happened.”

Mark Hughes, Stoke City manager (Q: You must be fairly confident as plenty have gone to Old Trafford and got positive results?)
“Yeah that seems to be the case, We’ll have to play well on the night, but we have that capability so we’ll look forward to it. Maybe there is a little bit of apprehension in their play. They had a good performance in the FA Cup on Friday night (in a 3-1 win at Derby County) and that will help confidence levels, but we always feel if we can go to away grounds and there is no bigger stage than Old Trafford for an away team. If we can go there and frustrate them in the early part of the game then maybe any anxiety or apprehension about Man United season maybe transmitted to them through the crowd and a little bit of frustration, maybe we can benefit from that.”
