Although Arsene Wenger’s side needed a win of at least two goals difference, brilliant French striker Olivier Giroud scored a hat-trick and has sent the Gunners into the Champions league knockout stage.
Giroud in the 29nd minute silenced the full Georgios Karaiskakis on Ramsey’s assist, hitting the bottom-right corner from some. At the begininning of the second half in 49th minute Giroud scores his second, making things much easier for his side. It was Campbell who brilliantly played the ball trough Olympiacos’ defence, and the French striker did not have a tought job of sending another ball into the net. The Final 3-0 Giroud has set in the 67th minute from a penalty spot, thus completing his hat-trick, sealing Arsenal’s win, second place in the group and most important saving Gunners’ Champions league campaign. Bayern is the first place team, Arsenal second, Olympiacos will play in Europa league while Dinamo Zagreb remains the last placed team in group.
