VIDEO Southampton 1-6 Liverpool: Origi & Sturridge sink Saints

Liverpool advanced to the League Cup semi-finals after celebrating with high 6-1 in the quarter-final on Wednesday at Southampton.

Jürgen Klopp’s team are on the hot away run, that’s clear now. In the last 30 days Reds with 3: 1 celebrated at Chelsea 10 days ago with 4:1 they ‘whipped’ Manchester City and with 6-1 Southampton have suffered.

Southampton took the lead in the first minute over Mane, but it may have been the ‘bad’ thing ‘for the Saints, as this goal only “angered” Klopp’s men. Already before the end of first half, Reds completed a comeback. Returnee Daniel Sturridge scored the two goals in the space of four minutes (25 and 29), and then in the last seconds Origi raised the score to 3: 1 for the Reds from Liverpool.

In the second half Origi scored twice more in the 68th and 86th minute, while Jordon Ibe was the scorer in the 73rd for the final 6-1 win for Liverpool.

For the end, let us add that in the semi-final, Liverpool will play against Stoke City, while Manchester City with Everton.
