FC Barcelona has announced that it has extended the collaboration with the best world player Lionel Messi. The contract is valid until 2018.
Lionel Messi did not had a brilliant season, just like his club Barcelona. On the eve of signing a new contract with Barcelona, Messi said that he will remain at the club as long as fans wants him there.
‘I have always said that I want to stay in my home, in Barcelona,” said Leo Messi, who later put a signature on a contract that will guarantee him 20 million euros, and with annual bonuses Messi can earn even 25 millions which makes him the highest paid football player ever. Messi’s buy-out clause remains the same, 250 million euros .
This season was not as we wanted it to be and was certainly not among my betters. I can only tell fans that we are very sorry for this season and to promise that next season will be better, “said the Argentine.
