The Argentina Under-20 promising goalkeeper will leave River Plate at the end of the 2014-15 campaign to join Real Madrid.

River Plate president confirmed that Augusto Batalla will join Real Madrid at the end of the season. Batalla will move to Spain in a 1-year loan deal with the option of a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

Los Blancos tried to sign the promising goalkeeper at the winter transfer market , but the terms were not agreed when the transfer window was shut down.

“The contract hasn’t been signed yet, but in June, Batalla will go to Real Madrid on a one-year loan, with an option to buy for a large sum,”said D’Onofrio.

The Argentina Under-20 International will start his career at Real Madrid Castilla, where he will play alongside Martin Odegaard, the Norwegian wonderkid who joined Real Madrid in January.

The Argentine Youngster has been capped for his U20 National team, but yet he didn’t make his debut for River Plate.
