Schalke head coach Jens Keller and midfielder Julian Draxler target the quarter-finals of the Champions League ahead of their last 16 second leg against Galatasary in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday. The first leg ended 1-1.

Jens Keller, Schalke coach:
“It is not that we only played well against (Borussia) Dortmund. We have played at a high level in the past five games and why shouldn’t we take that level into the game on Wednesday? We don’t have a reason to be pretentious but we have built up some self confidence over the last few weeks and we have worked hard for it. We will take that into the game and will be as focused as we have been in the last weeks.”

Julian Draxler, Schalke:
“We know that Galatasaray have a great team and have signed two top stars in Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba. But we can’t underestimate the other players. They are a great collective but it is something special to play against world stars like Drogba and Sneijder, for me as a young player.”

Jens Keller, Schalke coach:
“There is no reason for him Fatih Terim to feel defeated. Our 1-1 result was good but we didn’t win three or four to nil so no coach would give up this game. Every coach would still try to get into the next round no question about that.”

Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim is confident his side can advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League despite travelling to Schalke for the second leg with an aggregate score of 1-1.
