Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev admits that facing Juventus in Champions League Quarter Finals will be a harder task than it was against Arsenal.

The principality club eliminated Arsenal on the last stage thanks to away goals rule. Monaco won 3-1 at Emirates Stadium and then they lost 2-0 at their home.

Vasilyev believes that the Italian Champions are a tougher opponent than Arsenal, and they can’t be compared with them.

“Juventus are tough opponents but we will take to the field with ambition. We deserve to be here.”

“I don’t think we can compare Arsenal and Juventus at all. Juventus are the reigning Italian champions and they will be again this year.” said Vasilyev.

Vasilyev hailed Juventus performance against Dortmund, but he also admitted that his team is not at Quarter Finals by mistake and anything can happen.

“We know we are up against a team with great ambitions. You only have to look at what they did to Dortmund to see what they are capable of.

“But anything can happen. We are the youngest team here and for us it’s a great experience.”

Despite loosing two of their best players from last season [Falcao and James Rodriguez] , Monaco has reached the Quarters and their young team got a big potential to achieve bigger things in the future.
