Surrounded by family, friends, football stars and thousands of fans who love him, Diego ‘Il Principe’ Milito on Saturday finally said “adios” to Football!

The legendary Argentinian in one of the world’s iconic stadium ended his career during a friendly match between Racing Club and Inter Milan. Diego “Il Principe” Milito has bid his farewell to thousands of fans who’ve made a real spectacle and on the fitting way have sent their farewell to the legend.

The 37-year, Diego Milito warm-hearted hung up his boots for the last time:
“I’m leaving, all my dreams are fulfilled. I had a dream to finish my career playing for Racing, “said Diego on his farewell game.

While the fans chanted: “Milito, Milito, Milito” …

“On a day like this I can not help but not to recall of my days in Europe. Genoa brought me to Europe, and its fans have always treated me “God”. Zaragoza enabled me to play in the big league such Liga BBVA, and then i joined Inter Milan. Those were unforgettable years. The fans have given me many moments to remember and never forget.

Thank you all, said an emotional Milito, and then continued talking about farewell which Racing Club fans have prepared him, his first and the last club.

“I have no words to describe this feeling. Thank you all, because this is an indescribable feeling.”
