German international Schürrle left the London club and returned to his homeland where he signed for Wolfsburg. VfL Wolfsburg have announced the signing of attacking midfielder Andre Schurrle from Chelsea, who has signed a contract until 2019.

Schürrle, who enrolled 42 appearances for Germany and was a member of ‘ELF’ which won the last World Cup, arrived at Chelsea in 2013 for £18 million from Bayer Leverkusen. Chelsea looking to make some room and with one eye on Financial Fair Play decided to sell Schurrle to Wolfsburg and immediately invested the same money to sign another winger, Juan Cuadrado from AFC Fiorentina.
