The Premier League club, Manchester United are preparing to make a £40m bid for Bayern Munich and Netherlands star , Arjen Robben.

The Dutch performance at World Cup so far seems to have convinced the current Dutch national team coach , Louis Van Gaal to get him at Manchester United after his spell at World Cup.

Van Gaal was confirmed to replace the former Manchester United coach , David Moyes at 19 May 2014. He signed a three-year deal.

Robben admitted last month that he has no intention of leaving Bayern Munich , and his team got no intention to sell him.

“Manchester United? That’s not an option. I am staying at Bayern Munich, and I cannot imagine that Bayern would want to sell me.”

“I have only just renewed my contract and we are happy with each other. It would have been a different story had I been unhappy.”

Robben also admits his respect and admiration for Van Gaal and tells that Manchester United would be the only destination if he decides to leave Munich.

“I would have been open to a move then, because I had a great time under Van Gaal at Bayern. He has been very important for my career.

“However, the fact is that I am very happy at my current club.”

Arjen Robben is currently selected with Netherlands squad at World Cup , where he scored 3 goals in the first 2 matches of the competition.
