We take a look at some of the hottest properties in world football who may move to the Premier League from abroad during the January transfer window.
Antoine Griezmann (£85.6 million)
Top goal scorer at Euro 2016 and third behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the Ballon D’Or awards, Griezmann heads the wish-list of Chelsea and Manchester United. Atletico Madrid won’t want to lose the Frenchman though and it may take another record transfer fee for United the land the player. United paid out £89.3 million Paul Pogba last year.
Victor Linedelof (£38 million)
With 10/11 odds-on for a new year move, Manchester United are poised to complete a deal to bring Benfica’s impressive defender to Old Trafford. With Eric Bailly away on African Cup of Nations duty, United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to add the 22-year-old Swedish international to his ranks as soon as possible
Ruben Neves (£35 million)
A Prodigious young talent who has already been capped by Portugal. Chelsea HAVE their hearts set on bringing Porto’s defence-minded midfielder to Stamford Bridge, while Juventus and Liverpool are also reportedly after the 19-year-old’s signature.
Moussa Dembele (£30 million)
West Ham have had talks with the former Fulham striker about a return to London as they look to add to their limited options upfront. Liverpool are also believed to be monitoring the situation. The Celtic frontman has scored 19 goals in 36 games.
Franck Kessie (£30 million)
Serie A side Atalanta may have priced the 20-year-old midfielder out of the market. Chelsea once viewed Kessie as a possible replacement for Chinese recruit Oscar, however they may look elsewhere after having a £21.3 million bid rejected. The Ivory Coast international is currently away on African Cup of Nations duty.
Isco (£30 million)
With the release of some of the best 2017 promo codes, this attacking midfielder is likely to be snapped up by the punters – he is tipped as one of the bookie’s hot favourites for a Tottenham move this year at odds of 9/1, despite struggling under the management of Zinedine Zidane. Indeed, Spurs have been after Isco for a while making a loan bid in August last year.
Marco Reus (£30 million)
The German has been lined up as a like-for-like replacement should Alexis Sanchez opt to leave the Emirates. Reus scored over 20 goals in two of his last three seasons with Borussia Dortmund and could be set for a hefty pay rise if he swaps the Bundesliga for the Premier league.
Carlos Bacca (£26million)
Classic striker who fits the penalty-box poacher mould and has attracted the attention of West Ham, Chelsea and Arsenal. However, the 30-year-old Barcelona star could be China-bound amid reports of offers from three Super League clubs.
Jose Fonte (£15 million)
Saints skipper Fonte looks set to leave St Mary’s despite having 18 month left to run on his existing deal. Manchester United are just one of many Premier League clubs keen to pounce, although with a £15m price tag placed on his head, Southampton are doing their level best to keep hold of the centre half who has made over 250 appearances for the south coast club. And while the Red Devils weighed there options, West Ham United already cashed out the needed money for Fonte and got a solid defender, which will boost their last line.
