Chelsea have made a £16 million offer for the Nigerian star, Emmanuel Emineke.

Emineke, who is currently a striker at Fenerbahce could be heading to Chelsea, according to reports from local Turkish reports.

He has starred in 28 games for Fererbahce this season, scoring 12 goals and assisting in 9 of them. He has also played all 3 games so far in the World Cup for Nigeria in which he has aided them to go through to the Round of 16.

Should the move for the 27 year old go ahead, the Turkish outfit would have made a profit of £6 million pound, after he was signed for £10 million in 2013 from Spartak Moscow.

Emineke could be part of the new strike force at Chelsea alongside Diego Costa who will complete his signing to Chelsea in the near future. If the move goes through, it could cause a problem for Fernando Torres who has failed to find form since joining from Liverpool.

Chelsea have also signed Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas.
