Chelsea are willing to keep Juan Mata for another 5 years and will offer his new contract after he returns from the Confederations Cup with Spain.
Mata was signed by Chelsea from Valencia for £23.5million 18 months ago and has already impressed the club with his tremendous skills and creativity he produces.There were rumours Jose Mourinho will sell the play
maker but Jose himself wants Mata to extend his current deal and stay at Stamford Bridge. Juan Mata will be explosive under Mourinho next season and Mata is happy to work under Jose.
Juan Mata won the Fa Cup and the Champions League with Chelsea in his first season and the following season he won the Europa League.
Juan Mata has already flourished under Villas-Boas, Roberto Di Matteo and Rafa Benitez. Chelsea fans will be eager to see Juan Mata continue his form under Jose Mourinho.
