A big game in Munich played Bundesliga and Premier league Champions , Bayern Munich and Manchester City. It was a replay of the last season’s group stage but this time the Bavarians celebrated thanks to a late strike Jerome Boateng. The Pep Guardiola’s side started match without many injured players like Ribery, Robben (came in from the bench) Javi Martinez, Badstuber, Schweinsteiger and Thiago but still were a slightly better team at Allianz Arena.
The Citizens strengthened by Edin Dzeko, Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri proved to be a tough team to beat, even they were struggling to cope with Bayern’s passing and movement . The England goalkeeper Joe Hart finally was beaten in the last-minute of the regular time when Boateng with a dose of luck with his right-foot effort deflecting off the back of Gotze sends the ball past Hart.
