Pellegrini apologises for post-Barcelona comments

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini on Friday (21st February) apologised for his comments made about Swedish referee Jonas Eriksson after their UEFA Champions League defeat to Barcelona, and also said of Saturday’s (22nd February) English Premier League game against Stoke City that he was “absolutely sure it will be a tough game for us”.
Pellegrini may face sanctions from UEFA after saying Eriksson was “not impartial” and suggesting he was influenced by previous matches he officiated involving Barcelona.
