Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique looked ahead to his side’s league match away to Eibar on Sunday and sings the praises of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
“I am coach. A pretty good one actually. But I am not magician or clairvoyant. Leo Messi will be the world’s best player for the length of time he decides to be. But we all reach a certain point when age affects us. I would like him to stay at this until 40 or 35 years old. But I haven’t the scientific background to comment on that.”
“Of course I would have believed we would be where we are now if I was told that at the start of the season. But if we look at the press archives I am sure that I have received many many critics through the season. I am sure that things could be done better and we are working on that. Taking it game by game making it better. We are in a good situation and well positioned. But the most difficult part is ahead of us – the end of the season.”
