Post Match Video Interview

Reaction after EPL top-of-the-table clash as Leicester City beat Manchester City 3-1 on Saturday (6th February).
Claudio Ranieri, Leicester City manager
“We had a chance, as we talked before the game, to go back to the top of the table. We were at home, we couldn’t do it. Now we are six points behind Leicester, we have 39 points to play for so it’s very important – like I have said all week – to take it game by game and we must beat Tottenham here. They are another team who are fighting for the title. We will see what happens between Arsenal and Leicester, there are many things that can happen when there are still 39 points to play for, but of course this was a defeat that we didn’t expect.”

Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager
“I think if they keep playing like they are at the moment then of course (they are favourites) as they have an advantage in points. It just depends on what they can do between now and the end of the season. But having to play 13 games more it’s very difficult to make a prediction about the end of the season.”

Claudio Ranieri, Leicester City manager
“It was a good performance from us. It was difficult, as when you play against a team like City with players of fantastic quality it was not easy. But we concentrated hard and we wanted to win, played without pressure to try and just enjoy the match but try to do our best. I think the first goal gave us good confidence and then we closed the space as we concentrated and were determined throughout the match.”
