Torres has 3 more years at Chelsea and wants to see out his contract with the Blues.
Torres is delighted to work with Jose Mourinho and find his old form.
Mourinho said, “Fernando is more than happy to stay and work hard. If the best for all of us is for Fernando to stay, let’s help him and try and get the best out of him.”
“It would be easier if we did that, but we don’t want to do that.
“We are happy to go with these fantastic, talented boys.
“We are happy to show that the investment Chelsea made in recent seasons. We want to go in this direction. The one or two we may buy are complements because the structure and philosophy is this one.”
Jose Mourinho has confirmed that John Terry remains captain of Chelsea.
“Last time, John was a captain at the discretion of the club, because he was born in the club and because of his personality on the field. Made a simple consultation with the players trying to feel the reviews and they all agreed.”
“At this moment, when I say ‘my captain’, this is not the right word”.
“John is the captain of the club, I am more than happy because he is the captain, fans are more than happy that he is the captain, so I think he should be.”
