Reaction from Slaven Bilic following West Ham’s 2-1 win over ten-man Chelsea on Saturday (24th October) – as Jose Mourinho failed to attend the post-match news conference.
“It was brilliant to win against the champions at our home ground in front of our crowd. It’s unbelievable and there is nothing wrong to admit that we are playing good, that we are doing well and that we deserved to win.”
Slaven Bilic (on Andy Carroll):
“He should be fit and ready on a long term. And then West Ham and even possibly England should have a great benefit out of him. Because as I said the quality was never in doubt – but that’s not just the quality in the box, that’s like overall quality as a player. The way he pressed Terry and Cahill when we were winning 2-1 and he played a lone striker then – it was like, great.”
