Barcelona star Lionel Messi has won earlier on Wednesday the Golden Shoe (Boot), award which he received in recognition of finishing last season as the top league goalscorer in Europe.

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi was presented with a record third Golden Boot trophy on Wednesday after finishing with the most league goals in Europe last season.

Messi in the season 2012/2013 scored a total of 60 goals, of which a whopping 46 goals Messi scored in the Spanish Primera.

For fantastic Argentinean this a total third title of Europe’s scorer, and previously Messi has won the Golden shoe in 2009/2010 season when he scored 34 goals, and in the 2011/2012 season, when he scored 50 goals.

Messi is currently off the court due to injury, and it until next year he will not be off the field.

“My aim isn’t to win a fourth. I never targeted that when I was fit, let alone now. My aim is to recover; here’s hoping the man upstairs grants me an injury-free comeback”, Messi stated.
