Earlier today the Spanish defender has cleared all the doubts regarding his future , by renewing his contract with Los Blancos until June 2020.

The 29 years old previous contract was going to expire on 2017 and there were many speculations about his future and his relationship with Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez.

The Spanish International committed his future to Los Blancos , despite there were interest from big sides like Manchester United.

After the contract renewal, Sergio Ramos admitted that he have been unhappy lately, but that would not be a reason to leave the club. He also admits that the contract renewal, it’s not because of financial reasons, because if it were for money, he would earn more somewhere else.

“Honestly, if it was an economic decision, I wouldn’t have stayed,” the 29-year-old said at a news conference on Monday. “I could have earned more elsewhere.It wasn’t a question of money, there were personal and professional things we had to organise.”

Alongside Ramos, Los Blancos president also was happy to announce the agreement with the player throwing away all the rumours of a broken relationship between him and the player.

Florentino Perez said that he was happy that the agreement was reached and that Ramos will stay at Madrid and be the leader and the caption of his team.

“Today is a great day,” the Blancos supremo told reporters. “Real Madrid has satisfaction that Sergio will be with us for five more years.Ramos is a symbol of Madridisma, which has made us love him for many years with his character, desire and huge heart.That’s why Real Madrid and Ramos are united forever.”

Sergio Ramos arrived at Santiago Bernabeu on 2005 , and since than he has made 445 appearances and scored 55 goals – where the most important was the one against Atletico Madrid on the Champions League 2014-2015 Final.
