Ahead of Sunday’s 1-0 defeat in Serie A to Juventus , the Bosnia-Herzegovina midfielder Miralem Pjanic Roma has signed a contract extension with his club valid until 2018 …
Interest in capture Pjanic showed giants like Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and PSG, but he decided to extend the loyalty to AS Roma until June 2018th year. Previous contract tied him to Italian club until the summer of next year.
Pjanic has enjoyed an outstanding season in Serie A, scoring six goals in 34 outings and helping Roma to finish second in Serie A behind champions, Juventus.
– The contract can not be solved in a day, especially not in a season where I earned my salary depending on appearances. Everyone knows that I am happy that I stayed, because I wanted to be in Roma’s jersey as long as possible.
Surely we can fight for the “scudetto” next season. We had a great season, and Juve deserves compliments because they were breaking records for the title. This team is created for winning games, and our mentality changed with Rudi Garcia.
Thanks to coach I decided to stay here and I want to keep winning for years – said the Bosnian-Herzegovinian midfielder.
