Los Blancos are interested on signing the Argentine international Marcos Rojo as they want to give more competition to the left side of the defense where operates Marcelo.
The Spanish newspaper Fichajes reports that Rafael Benitez would make a move for Marcos Rojo in Janaury as he wants to add more competition to Marcelo on the left back, since he is the only option for Real Madrid since Coentrao left Santiago Bernabeu.
The Spanish giants want to plug the gap left from Fabio Coentrao on the left back since summer, as he joined AS Monaco on a loan deal since he did not have much space at Los Blancos. The former Sporting defender is performing well at French giants since he has scored twice in his 8 appearances this season.

Anyway Rojo have not played for Manchester United since November as the Argentine International has been sidelined after dislocating his shoulder in training.
Letting Rojo leave might be a good decision for The Reds, since they need fix they financial balance and after being linked with a possible transfer of Barca star Neymar to Old Trafford for £140m.
