The English giants have announced the signing of Marko Grujic for £5.1 million from the Serbian side , Red Star Beograd. The player have signed a 5-year deal with the Reds.

The 19 years old, who have won the U20 World Cup with Serbia is the first signing for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, but the Serbian midfielder will not be under Klopp’s orders until the end of the season since he will remain at Red Star Beograd on a 6 months loan deal.

Grujic had completed his medical on Merseyside on Sunday and also firmed the contract that will keep him at Liverpool for the next 5 seasons.

The 19-year-old has attracted the interest of many European sides after having an impressive performance at U20 World Cup at New Zeland with his nation Serbia. Grujic performances has helped his nation to reach the finals and beat Brazil U20 2-1.

Red Star Beograd has received many offers from European clubs, some of them are : Anderlecht (€2m),Stuttgart (€5m) and Internazionale but they’ve been refused. The Serbian side will win £5.1 million also a 10 percent sell-on clause.
