The Fennec Foxes who failed to score any goal at the last World Cup, against South Korea in Brazil netted four goals and thus become the first African team that scored 4 goals at the World Cup match.

South Korea first half did not open very well and the punishment with three goals came. Slimani 26′, R. Halliche 28′ and A. Djabou 38′ have Algeria a 3-0 half time lead which proved to be enough for them to win the game and come on the brink of the last-16.

Second half, different story, as South Korea were the better team on the pitch and even managed to score twice, but the half time result proved to be unattainable as Algeria netted one more trough Brahimi for 1-4. Previously Heung-Min Son scored for South Korea, while Ja-Cheol Koo in the 72nd minute scores second for South Korea and for the final 2-4 result.
