Chelsea are looking to boost their midfield , and the first pick of Jose Mourinho is the Croat, Luka Modric, whom Mourinho brought to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur’s.

It seems that Jose Mourinho once again wanted to bring his ex-player like many times before, but this time, his ex-club said NO to him.

“There’s no way we’ll sell Luka Modric this summer,” said Real Madrid to Chelsea, Goal.com has learned exclusively.

“Jose Mourinho believes that Modric fits perfectly in the Chelsea midfield, but sources close to the Croatian player reveal how happy at Real Madrid Modric feels and that he plays in the life form,” writes Goal.com and added:

“Modric has played a key role for the Spanish giants this season in which he won the Copa del Rey, reached the Champions league final and which still has a chance to win the Primera.”

The same portal claims that Mourinho is a big fan of Modric’s game, who two years ago brought him to Real from Tottenham.

“Modric last summer was Mourinho’s first choice and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is a big fan of Luka, but it is clear that Croatian is not going anywhere.”

A source from London claims that Chelsea are now turning to the Brazilian Paulinho, midfielder from Tottenham, which should be a long-term replacement for Frank Lampard.
