Greece head coach Fernando Santos has named his provisional 29-man World Cup squad, finding a place for Fulham striker Mitroglou, despite his faltering form. Giorgos Karagounis, Greece captain and their most-capped player of all time with 132 appearances and Mitroglou’s teammate is on the list as well despite his mixed form for the team from Craven Cottage. Greece play Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire and Japan in Group C.
